Παπαδόπουλος Αλέξανδρος

Οι ερευνητικές και καλλιτεχνικές μου πρακτικές μελετούν την μετουσίωση του φόβου σε κινητήρα απόλαυσης και οράματος. Χρησιμοποιώ διαδικτυακές παρεμβάσεις, εικαστικές τέχνες, κινηματογράφο και δημιουργική γραφή για να εξερευνήσω και να ανασχεδιάσω μορφές εξιστόρησης που συνδέουν σκηνικές δράσεις εντός κι εκτός οθόνης. Μελετώ παραβατικές, δημιουργικές και ευάλωτες ζωές μέσα από το διεπιστημονικό πρίσμα αισθητικών, media και queer αναγνώσεων. Για παράδειγμα ο transmedia έργο/παραστατική διάλέξη  "Πώς να Xειρίζεσαι Gay Nαζί σε Συνεντεύξεις για Δουλειά" (How to Use Gay Nazis in Job Interviews) παρουσιάστηκε σε φεστιβάλ παραστικών, οπτικο-ακουστικών και εικαστικών τεχνών αλλά και σε ακαδημαϊκά συνέδρια, συμπόσια και διαδικτυακές κοινότητες.  Η τρέχουσα μεταδιδακτορική δουλειά μου: τα Εργαστήρια Ενδιαμέσων Εξιστόρησεων (Transmedia Labs of Storytelling) επικεντρώνεται στην αισθητική των διαδικτυακών κοινωνικών μέσων ενημέρωσης, τον queer ηδονισμό και τις δημιουργικές τακτικές αυτο-έκθεσης – εντός κι εκτός διαδικτύου. Γενικότερα με ενδιαφέρουν νέοι τρόποι παραγωγής, κατανόησης και διάδοσης αισθητικών απολαύσεων -- σε διάλογο και αντιπαραβολή με τις αντιξόοτητες επισφαλών τρόπων ζωής.

Mixing the study of storytelling cultures and multimedia arts, my doctoral research focused on street-wise criminals -- ‘spivs’ confidence tricksters, good-time-girls -- who understood and represented themselves as actors, authors, performers, celebrities, magicians and Hollywood stars. This project traced the genealogy of transmedia narrativities: in this field, different media and textual platforms are treated as co-contributors in the construction and dissemination of stories, ideas and spectacles.
