Since 2014, AV-School has been one of the alternative education initiatives of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts at the Ionian University, focusing on complementary and open learning in the fields of audiovisual and hybrid arts. Drawing on pedagogical experience that includes workshops and seminars developed since 2006, AV-School combines theoretical approaches with hands-on, experiential methods across new media, film, performance, and contemporary hybrid practices. Its aim is to foster creativity, critical thinking, and an experimental mindset, offering an open educational space for dialogue and collaboration among students, emerging practitioners, and established artists and researchers, both within and beyond the academic context.
