Research Characteristics

The research characteristics of the lab co-exist in a theoretical and applied level through the dialectic combination of the two in the repetitive, formative or experimental process of creation. Consequently, substantial weight is given to the development of the methods of audiovisual research with an emphasis on the collection and analysis of audiovisual data and their semantic contribution to the space as a structure and to time as a form, beyond the originality of the results.

Outward Orientation

Within the framework of outward orientation and development of its research horizons, the Interactive Arts Research Lab is open to collaboration in Postgraduate and Postdoctoral studies with universities in Greece and abroad in scientific topics, which for example include: Animation & Videogames, Interactive Education and Entertainment Systems, Installation and Audiovisual media, Artistic Creation with the use of multimedia and Teaching of Audiovisual Arts.
