FEMeeting: Women in Art, Science and Technology

FEMeeting: Women in Art, Science and Technology is an international conference series and community-driven platform launched in 2017 to foster collaboration, visibility, and mutual support among individuals who identify as women working across art, science, and technology. Co-founded by Marta de Menezes and Dalila Honorato, FEMeeting responds to the strong yet often fragmented global presence of women in these intersecting fields by creating spaces for exchange, trust-building, and shared knowledge production. Combining public-facing presentations with more intimate, closed-session encounters, the series privileges dialogue, care, and long-term relational networks alongside scholarly and artistic dissemination. Over time, FEMeeting has evolved into a distributed, transnational ecosystem—adapting formats from in-person gatherings to digital assemblies, community chats, and laboratory exchanges—supporting the development of feminist research methodologies, collaborative practices, and local nodes that sustain research and artistic creation across diverse cultural and geographic contexts.
