Dalila Honorato, Professor at the Department of Audio & Visual Arts of the Ionian University and Director of InArts Lab, is participating in the group exhibition "Metamorphosis", held from October 11 to December 8, 2024, at Ectopia Lab in Lisbon.
The exhibition Metamorphosis brings together themes of identity, transformation, and the seen and unseen realities. Working across diverse media, the participating artists explore the intricate intersections of identity, history, and memory. Through the lens of microscopy, they unveil invisible worlds, inviting reflections on environmental shifts, human/non-human relations, and stem-cell differentiation.
The exhibition challenges traditional perceptions of change and identity. Objects of acceptance and denial expand our understanding of self and belonging. Representations of the human body test the boundaries of intimacy, while constructed or war-altered landscapes question our notions of truth. Cabinets of curiosity further confront us with realities shaped by conflict. Through this metamorphosis, the works interrogate how information shapes memory, perspectives, and belief systems.
