The Interactive Arts Lab is pleased to announce the establishment of the new Node for Artificial Intelligence & Research (NoAIR), which joins the existing Nodes: the Node for Hybrid Arts (NoHA), the Node for Gaming Gamification (NoGG), and the Node for Film Praxis (NoFiP).

The Node for Artificial Intelligence and Research operates within the Interactive Arts Lab of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts at the Ionian University. Its aim is to explore the intersection between Artificial Intelligence technologies and the humanities, research, and art-based creative practices.

Specifically, NoAIR explores how AI relates to artistic research, creativity, ethics, intellectual property rights, authorship, and the evolving concept of originality. It also covers research design, methodologies, and the integration of AI in information science, including accessibility tools and search strategies.

The Node seeks to understand how AI can both influence and enhance research and artistic practices, promoting ethical and innovative applications within the academic and artistic community.
