For the seventh consecutive year, the Ionian Contemporary Animation Festival ICONA 2025 is organized and promoted by the Department of Audio & Visual Arts of the Ionian University, with Professor Konstantinos Tiligadis, coordinator of the InArts' Node for Animation Art (NoAA), leading the overall festival direction.

Held online from 13 to 16 November 2025, the festival received more than 1,750 submissions from around the world, reaffirming its strong international presence and its growing role in the field of contemporary animation.

ICONA aims to showcase outstanding animation films globally, support the preservation and development of animation heritage, encourage new productions, and foster dialogue among professionals, filmmakers, and audiences. The festival also provides opportunities for potential international co-productions and interdisciplinary collaborations.

The event concludes on Sunday, 16 November 2025, at 18:00 with the official awards ceremony.
