Praba Pilar and Janet Sarson will be joining the Interactive Arts Laboratory (InArts) - Node for Hybrid Arts (NoHA) at the Department of Audio & Visual Arts of the Ionian University in Corfu for an art research residency until March 2026.
Dr. Praba Pilar is a Professor at the California College of the Arts and a multidisciplinary artist-researcher whose work weaves together digital media, performance, and community engagement to challenge conventional boundaries of identity and embodiment. Janet Sarson is a Canadian writer and performance artist focused on immersive environments and interactive technologies, exploring the intersections of sensory experience, memory, and social dynamics.
Their residency is integrated in the activities of the Creative Europe project "Rewilding Cultures" (2022–2026) and will contribute to the Master of Research in Hybrid Arts (MARes) program through presentations related to their ongoing research, within the framework of the HUMAN (Humanities Understanding of the Machine Assisted Nexus) Fellowship for 2025–2027, a joint initiative of Lake Forest College and Ragdale art residency, funded by the Mellon Foundation.
