Praba Pilar and Janet Sarson will be joining the Interactive Arts Laboratory (InArts) - Node for Hybrid Arts (NoHA) at the Department of Audio & Visual Arts of the Ionian University in Corfu for an art research residency until March 2026.

The Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University actively participated once again this year in the Chania Film Festival through activities coordinated by Assistant Professor Dr. Iakovos Panagopoulos and PhD Candidate Lina Petrianou. The Department’s presence, within the framework of the ongoing collaboration between the Interactive Arts Lab (InArts) and the Festival, significantly contributed to strengthening the dialogue between education, research, and audiovisual creation.

Dr. Iakovos Panagopoulos, Assistant Professor in the Department of Audio and Visual Arts at the Ionian University, and Coordinator of the Node for Film Praxis at InArts Lab, participates as a member of the Editorial Board of the new international online practice-based research platform in narrative cinema titled StoryLab Conversations.

We are looking for writers and researchers to contribute chapters to the upcoming Feral Labs Node Book #3: Fa Fa Futures — the final volume of the Rewilding Cultures project (Creative Europe, 2021–2026). Each writer will be paired with one Feral Labs institution and provided with curated documentation (reports, images, transcripts, contextual notes) to produce a reflective, research-informed chapter.

Το Εργαστήριο Διαδραστικών Τεχνών με χαρά ανακοινώνει την ίδρυση του νέου Κόμβου για Τεχνητή Νοημοσύνη & Έρευνα (NoAIR), ο οποίος έρχεται να συμπληρώσει τους ήδη υφιστάμενους Κόμβους: τον Κόμβο Υβριδικών Τεχνών (NoHA), τον Κόμβο Gaming Gamification (NoGG) και τον Κόμβο Film Praxis (NoFiP).

The Interactive Arts Lab at the Department of Audio and Visual Arts, Ionian University, announces four unpaid open positions for students interested in developing their skills and gaining practical experience during their studies as Lab Operators. 

Rena Katsenou, Ioannis Deliyannis, and Dalila Honorato will take part in the 17th Annual International Conference on Education, Research, and Innovation (ICERI2024), which will be held in Seville, Spain, on November 11-13, 2024.

On Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at 8:00 p.m., in Room 011 of the Ionian University (Old Psychiatric Hospital, Building of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts Secretariat), the doctoral thesis defense of Mr. Yorgos Drosos, PhD candidate of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts and a member of the Interactive Arts Lab, will take place.
