In August 2019 Assistant Professor Dr. Dalila Honorato was a guest lecturer at the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico, on the subject "semiotics of the uncanny".

In July 2019, Dalila Honorato, coordinator of the research group in art & science at the InArts Lab of the Ionian University, was invited to participate in fivewordsforthefuture, a project by Noema Lab, Italy.

Bill Psarras presents his new work ‘Territorial Poetics’, a neon light installation, has been shortlisted and awarded for the forthcoming exhibition ‘Enclosures | Pass-throughs’ organized by Thessaloniki Concert Hall. Exhibition will take place on the outdoor space of TCH.

On Thursday 10 January 2019, Bill Psarras (Dr.) artist and current postdoctoral researcher (funded by IKY State Foundation 2017-2019) at the Department of Audio and Visual Arts, Ionian University, will give an invited artist talk entitled "Performing the Poetic and the Technological: Objects and aesthetic walking into place".

Living Matter/ La Materia Viva will discuss the broad implications and challenges (conceptual, ethical, and practical) associated with collecting, displaying, and preserving contemporary works that include biological materials.

Τhe "THE OX" of the graduate of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts and doctoral candidate, George Nikopoulos, is the only Greek production that competes for the Emile Awards 2018 / European Animation Awards in the category of "Best Soundtrack in a Feature Film". The soundtrack is composed by Dimitra Trypani, Assistant Professor of the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University.
