Bill Psarras, artist and currently postdoctoral researcher at the InArts lab of the Dept. of Audio & Visual Arts, will be giving a conference talk entitled "Performing borders and conflict zones: Body, action and imagination towards poetic interventions", at the "Area Studies in Flux", which will take place at UCL (London, 27-29/9/2018).

Marianna Strapatsakis, artist and former Associate Professor of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts of the Ionian University will present her work at the exhibition entitled Shell // the politics of being at the 15th Kypseli High School in Athens. Exhibition opening: 26 June 2018 | 17.00 - 21.00. Exhibition duration: 26 June - 24 July 2018.

On Wednesday 25 April 2018 at 17.00, Dr. Bill Psarras (artist, postdoctoral researcher and member of InArts Lab) will give a guest lecture as part of the ‘Semiotic Analysis of New Media’ course, of the MA in Audiovisual Arts in the Digital Age (Dept. of Audio and Visual Arts).

Το 13ο ATHENS ANIMFEST [15-18 Μαρτίου 2018] διοργανώνεται για μια ακόμη χρονιά στην Αθήνα με περισσότερες από 350 ταινίες animation μικρού μήκους από την Ελλάδα και άλλες 51 χώρες. FEMeeting 2018 is a conference co-organised by Cultivamos Cultura, CIC Digital of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa and Faculdade de Belas-Artes da Universidade de Lisboa. Assistant Professor and member of the InArts Lab Dalila Honorato participated as guest speaker in the round table with theme "Do CRISPR monsters dream of synthetic futures", at The Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences, Toronto, on January 26th, 2018.

On January 17th, 2018,  Assistant Professor Dalila Honorato, coordinator of the art & science research group at the InArts Lab of the Ionian University, participated in the panel discussion "Imagin(in)g Biologies", at the University of Michigan.

Bill Psarras delivered a speech entitled ‘Geohumanities and performance art: The politics of activating bodies and places in intermedia ways‘ at ‘The Politics of Space and the Humanities International Conference‘, which took place from the 15th to the 17th of December 2017 in Thessaloniki in collaboration to Fulbright Foundation and Hellenic Association of American Studies.

Bill Psarras delivered a speech entitled ‘Spatial Poetics and the City: Glocal imaginaries in site-specific walking performance‘ at Radical Cities, Radical Narratives International Conference, which took place on 20th of October 2017 in London in collaboration with Dept. of English and Center for the Geohumanities – Royal Holloway University of London.

Dalila Honorato, member of the Interactive Arts Laboratory, participates in the exhibition Collision from December 14th, 2017 to January 13th, 2018.

Dr. Dalila Honorato, member of the Interactive Arts Laboratory, will participate as guest speaker in the session "Repetition and Difference" included in the program of FACTT - Festival of Art & Science Trans-disciplinary and Trans-national in Berlin on November 30th at 18:00.

The animation feature film THEOX by Giorgos Nikopoulos, graduate and Phd Candidate at Audio & Visual Arts Departments of Ionian University, will have a wordwide premiere at Olympion Cinema Theater, on Thursday, November 9th at 18.00 during the 58th Thessaloniki International Film Festival and will be repeated on Saturday 11th at 17.30, at Tonia Marketaki Cinema Theater located, Apothiki D, Port of Thessaloniki.
