On Thursday 10 January 2019, Bill Psarras (Dr.) artist and current postdoctoral researcher (funded by IKY State Foundation 2017-2019) at the Department of Audio and Visual Arts, Ionian University, will give an invited artist talk entitled "Performing the Poetic and the Technological: Objects and aesthetic walking into place".

Τhe "THE OX" of the graduate of the Department of Audio and Visual Arts and doctoral candidate, George Nikopoulos, is the only Greek production that competes for the Emile Awards 2018 / European Animation Awards in the category of "Best Soundtrack in a Feature Film". The soundtrack is composed by Dimitra Trypani, Assistant Professor of the Department of Music Studies of the Ionian University.

The final program of the Third Interdisciplinary Conference "Taboo-Transgression-Transcendence in Art & Science" has just been released. The conference is hosted by the Centro de Cultura Digital (CCD) on November 11th and by the Instituto de Investigaciones Filosoficas at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (IIFs-UNAM) on November 12-13th.
